About Christopher Adler
Christopher Adler is in his first year as Assistant Band Director at Lone Star High School, where he conducts the Symphonic Band and team teaches all aspects of the band program. Mr. Adler grew up in the Houston area but became a permanent Dallas resident in 2005, where he has taught in the Richardson, Forney, Garland, Terrell, and Lovejoy Independent School Districts.

He also led the Angry Orange Brass Band, SHSU’s basketball ensemble, helping support the Bearkats to two playoff appearances and a conference title. During this time, Mr. Adler served as principal trumpet in both the Wind Ensemble and the Symphony Orchestra, fulfilling obligations for both lines of study in his rigorous Graduate degree.
Mr. Adler also spent six summers touring with the Glassmen Drum and Bugle Corps from Toledo, Ohio, serving as brassline member, Drum Major, and visual tech. He has worked with numerous marching bands in the Houston area, including The Woodlands High School, Spring High School, and Dekaney High School.
He is also an active freelance performer in the DFW area, both independently and with the Imperial Brass, a Dallas-based professional brass ensemble.
Mr. Adler lives in North Lake Highlands with his amazing architect wife Amanda and their two beautiful but crazy children, August and Astrid. In his free time, Mr. Adler enjoys video games, Lego, railfanning, engines, home renovation, computers/networking, baseball (Rangers!), and hockey (Stars!).
